Habitat for Humanity dedicates new home to Portland family

On Sunday, June 12, Habitat for Humanity of Sumner County held the dedication ceremony for New Home Build #50 at 1034 Chris Drive in Portland.

Robert and Sherry Stack, the homeowners, and their two teenage daughters, will be assuming a zero percent mortgage on the home for well below the appraised value of the property.

The event was highlighted by the Color Guard from Vietnam Veterans Association of Sumner County #240, and was attended by approximately 50 people, including State Representative William Lamberth and Tennessee Habitat Executive Director Colleen Dudley.

New Home Build #50 was also the 4th Annual Apostles Build, a build in which 12 churches from Sumner County worked together to provide volunteers, financial support and prayers for the project.
