There were several bright spots for the Lebanon Special School District in the accountabilty results released by the state Department of Education on Thursday, but district Director Scott Benson's attention is focused on regaining the "exemplary" status the district enjoyed in 2017 and 2018.
A Wilson County woman has been charged with TennCare fraud in both Wilson and Davidson Counties in connection with doctor shopping for controlled substances, according to a press release from the state Office of Inspector General.

The Arts Academy at Cumberland University has closed its doors after over 15 years of business. The building that hosted the program will be partially repurposed to accommodate growing student numbers. It will continue to be used for music instruction for university students.
