Two people died Sunday night when the motorcycle they were riding ran off the road and hit a metal culvert.

David Rollin, 68, and Lisa Rollin, 45, both of Lebanon, were heading north on Lovers Lane when the 2010 Harley-Davidson motorcycle ran off the side of the road and hit a drainage pipe, according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The motorcycle flew about 75 feet into the air and flipped end over end when it hit the ground until it came to a rest on the right side of the road.

David Rollin was the driver, and neither person was wearing a helmet, though officials say wearing a helmet would likely not have made a difference in the outcome of the crash.
